Low-Impact Cardio Flow
Search GoogleThis continuous low-impact flow raises heart rate without running, jumping, punching, or loaded shoulder work. Rotate through 60 seconds of marching, 30 seconds of lateral step touches, and 30 seconds of no-jump skater steps until the programmed time is complete.

Setup
- — Clear a flat nonslip area wide enough for comfortable side steps and wear supportive shoes.
- — Set one timer for the full programmed duration and keep water nearby.
- — Begin with relaxed shoulders and choose an easy cadence for the first two-minute cycle.
Execution
- — March in place for 60 seconds using quick quiet feet and a comfortable arm position.
- — Perform 30 seconds of lateral step touches, then 30 seconds of low-impact skater steps without jumping.
- — Repeat the two-minute sequence while adjusting cadence to keep the programmed effort controlled.
Breathing & coaching
- — Breathe rhythmically and continuously throughout every segment.
- — Reduce cadence whenever you cannot regain controlled breathing during the marching segment.
- — Keep moving smoothly instead of sprinting one segment and stopping in the next.
Progressions
- — Increase cadence or total time while keeping the flow low impact and repeatable.
Regressions
- — Use marching only, shorten the total duration, or take a 30-second standing recovery between cycles.
